The Ramblings of a Poetic Fool

frontcover_web“The Ramblings of a Poetic Fool” is Rick Stephen’s first collection of poems, poems drawn not only from the life of the author but of the reader’s as well. Exploring themes common to the human experience, these poems leave the reader with an experience not easily forgotten since many times they hit close to home.

Rick Stephen invites us to look into the mirror and examine our deepest feelings of desire, love and loss, ecstasy and pain, hope, disappointment and desperation.

Honest, frank and often cathartic these poems bring the depth of the human condition to the surface. His unique style manages to capture what is often so difficult to express. It seems he writes about us and to us, transforming our life into a permanent memento of words or as the author calls them, “ramblings”. Beautiful, captivating and intriguing – as only a Poetic Fool can pen.

I’m waiting with anticipation for my copy to arrive. The cover is absolutely beautiful and magical, and I know the writing inside will match the cover to a T. I can’t wait to hold this book in my hands. Congratulations, my friend and best of luck with the book sales.

Thank you so much, Sannel! I’m glad you’ve related to it and have enjoyed it so much. That’s all I really wanted from writing it, that the reader might relate to my words and make them their own in some small way. Thank you for your wonderful, supportive and encouraging comments. They are very, very much appreciated!

Can you please provide a Kindle version? I love your poetry on HP and would like a copy of your book but Amazon wont ship some items to Jamaica.

Hi Carolee! First, thanks for visiting my blog, it’s very much appreciated. I am working on a Kindle version as time allows. I used an automated tool to convert my book into Kindle format but what it produced was worthless junk, nothing I’d be willing to publish. I’m hoping it won’t be too long before I can get it done. Thanks for your interest. Happy holidays!

@poeticfool, Did you use Createspace? They convert automatically but if you do it manually the secret is to convert to PDF first so as not to get the images and text all jumbled.

Carolee, yes I did. The file I submitted to CreateSpace was a pdf and what I tried to convert to Kindle format. The result was useless. I don’t know what the problem was and I haven’t had a chance to look into yet. I’m about to start 2 weeks off and I hope to get it down then. Thanks for the suggestion though. I’ve got a lot to learn when it comes to self-publishing!
