Micropoetry – Alone on the Porch

porchsunset

sitting
alone on the porch,
the sun burning a hole
in the horizon,
a breeze, gentle,
ever so slight,
caresses my face and,
closing my eyes,
becomes
your breath

Every single word in this poem, takes my breath away for sure. Just beautiful, Rick!
I so wish I could sit on that veranda right now, with the warm sun caressing my face, because here where I am, it’s freezing temperatures outside. I’m bundled up inside.
    🙁

Thanks so much, Sannel! Sorry to hear it’s so cold there. It sounds like it’s time to light up the fireplace!
